A The Game Awards aconteceu nesta madrugada de quinta para sexta e teve diversas premiações. Apesar de a competição ter sido acirrada, o grande ganhador da noite foi Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, que levou o troféu de GOTY (Game of the Year), batendo Death Stranding, Resident Evil 2 Remake, The Outer Worlds, Control e Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
