WRC2 oferece os modos Single Stage, Single Rally Mode, Championship Mode, Time Attack Mode, Career Mode e WRC Rally School. Os veículos sofrem danos de acordo com a direção do jogador nas pistas e se comportam de acordo. Há um total de 90estágios em 15 locais para competir no modo de um jogador. De acordo com o calendário, o Rally da Bulgária e o Rally do Japão foram removidos do jogo anterior, enquanto o Acropolis Rally e o Rally da Austrália foram adicionados.

WRC2 offers Single Stage, Single Rally Mode, Championship Mode, Time Attack Mode, Career Mode and WRC Rally School. Vehicles suffer damage according to the player's direction on the tracks and behave accordingly. There are a total of 90 stages at 15 locations to compete in single player mode. According to the calendar, Bulgaria's Rally and Japan's Rally were removed from the previous game, while Acropolis Rally and Australia's Rally were added.
