Death Stranding e Control lideram indicações ao The Game Awards 2019

O Game Awards é um evento anual produzido por Geoff Keighley, durante o qual a indústria de videogames e seus muitos fãs se reúnem para assistir a trailers, reclamar de patrocínios e, sim, distribuir alguns troféus em várias categorias "melhores". 107 jogos diferentes foram nomeados nessas categorias para o show de 2019, liderados por Death Stranding com oito e Control com sete.

As indicações foram escolhidas por um júri de 80 "meios de comunicação e influenciadores", incluindo a PC Gamer. Após a fase de indicação, os vencedores são selecionados através de uma votação dos fãs, que está aberta agora . (Dada a amizade de Geoff Keighley com Hideo Kojima e a participação especial em Death Stranding, podemos adivinhar para qual jogo ele está participando.)

Outros grandes jogos deste ano incluem Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, com cinco indicações, e Resident Evil 2 e The Outer Worlds, que atraíram quatro cada um. A categoria "Melhor Performance" apresenta duas indicações, cada uma, de Control e Death Stranding, o que é interessante (Gears 5 e The Outer Worlds completam a categoria e, para que conste, sou all-in em Matthew Porretta como Dr. Casper Darling) , mas estou um pouco confuso com o prêmio "Fresh Indie Game Presented by Subway", que se destaca da categoria de Melhor jogo independente.
